Wow, this product’s name is a mouthful. I bought this product because it’s gotten a lot of good reviews, came recommended on http://www.sokoglam.com and was voted best moisturizer by Allure magazine in Korea. Sadly, I was pretty disappointed. I gave Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Combination Watery Cream a good try – used this product for about a week – but finally I couldn’t stand it anymore and had to switch back to my old moisturizer.
This product is my first real Korean skincare *love*. I was planning on using it for a full month before writing a review, since I normally don’t see results from a product until at least several weeks. But unbelievably I saw results by day 2 and after only 3 weeks I’m a true believer in the power of snail extract!
Before Mizon All in One Snail Repair Cream, I’ve never used a product that delivered so many of its promises so quickly! This cream definitely made me a believer in the magic of Korean skincare. Ok, enough gushing; let’s get to the actual details…
So excited about this post! Korean skincare is having a big moment for the last several months. There are several articles, blogs, and websites in English BUT not so many that I can’t put in my two cents:
As I already talked about in my little “About Me” blurb, I’ve been waging war against hormonal cystic acne since I was 14. I say “waging war” because over the years, I’ve treated my skin like a battlefield, using stronger and stronger medication or anti-acne treatments that would work for a little while, but then end up in super sensitive or dull skin. When it came to skincare in the past, there was never any real “aha” moment where the products felt just right for my skin. I was Goldilocks – If one product wasn’t strong enough, I’d end up with cystic acne. And if a product was too strong, my rosacea would flare up. After almost 20 years of searching, I finally reached an “aha” moment and figured out that my previous approach to my skin was all wrong and finally found a system that feels just right for my skin.
